Jakarta, August 16, 2024 – The Supply Chain & National Capacity Summit (SCM Summit) 2024 successfully brought together up to 10,000 stakeholders from the upstream oil and gas industry. Organized by SKK Migas in collaboration with KKKS, the event was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from August 14 to 16, 2024. This year’s SCM Summit was themed “Navigating Long-Term Plans Through Integrated Supply Chain for National Capacity Building.”

The challenges faced by the upstream oil and gas industry are becoming increasingly complex each year, making this event a valuable platform for discussions (FGDs) and collaboration among various parties. Participants had the opportunity to interact with fellow industry leaders and speakers, sharing ideas and building beneficial strategic partnerships.
The SCM Summit 2024 featured around 27 booths from national oil and gas companies. Additionally, the event hosted booths for National Capacity, CIVD, CHSEMS, and Customs, guiding vendors to understand better and actively participate in the Upstream Oil and Gas procurement process. One of the booths that enlivened the SCM Summit 2024 was from EMP (Energi Mega Persada) along with its business units, including Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd, and Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd.

The SCM Summit 2024 also invited the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif. One of the key agenda items on the third day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by SKK Migas, which will further strengthen the supply chain ecosystem of upstream oil and gas projects in Indonesia.

In closing the event, Mr. Rudy Satwiko, Deputy for Business Support at SKK Migas, stated,
“This event serves as a collaboration platform between SKK Migas, KKKS, and booth local and global vendors. The SCM function, as a key driver of industry progress, must be strong and adaptable to global market conditions. This aligns with the keynote speech from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, who emphasized the importance of solid collaboration within the SCM function across the upstream oil and gas ecosystem. The importance of digitalization as proof of transparency in the procurement process was also discussed in the keynote speeches by Mr. Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs. Moreover, Mr. Luhut stressed the importance of regulatory harmonization in the upstream oil and gas industry in line with global demands to attract investment in the sector,” he said.
