Jakarta, July 16, 2024 – Energy Equity held a Drill Well on Paper (DWOP) activity for the drilling of development well KB-10, exploration well EWL-01, and exploration well SBO-02. The event took place at the Gilbaltar Room, Menara 165, and was attended by representatives from EMP (Energy Mega Persada) VP Drilling & Work Over Mr. Juwargito, EWC (Energy World Corporation) Mr. Andi Riyanto, and various vendors supporting the project.
DWOP is a paper-based drilling simulation aimed at identifying potential problems, improving operational procedures, and enhancing team coordination before field execution. This activity ensures that each team member understands their roles and responsibilities, and verifies that all technical and non-technical preparations are well in place.

The event was opened by a speech from Energy Equity’s General Manager, Mr. Farid Gaffar, and led by Drilling and Sub Surface Manager Mr. Christanto B. Santoso, who facilitated presentations from each vendor outlining their work plans, including drilling technical details, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies. In-depth discussions on each operational aspect were held to ensure all parties understood their roles and were prepared for any challenges that might arise. Emergency scenario simulations were also conducted to test the team’s readiness for unexpected situations.
With the completion of this DWOP, Energy Equity hopes that the drilling of wells KB-10, EWL-01, and SBO-02 will proceed smoothly and successfully. The next step is to conduct a final review of all preparations and move forward with field implementation.
This event underscores Energy Equity’s commitment to prioritizing safety, efficiency, and sustainability in every project. Solid collaboration among all parties involved is expected to yield the best results and contribute positively to the energy industry.
The DWOP activity marks an important initial step in the planned well-drilling project. With thorough preparation and good teamwork, it is hoped that this project will deliver optimal results and contribute to increasing national energy production.
