CHILDREN in several remote hamlets in Gilireng District, Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi Province can already read and study even at night, after the introduction of electric lighting from solar energy.
Even though only 153 households can be lit with a total power of 7.65 Kwp, at least the CSR program from Energy Equity Epic Sengkang (EEES), which has been carried out since 2011, has become a driving force for the Wajo Regency government to develop similar things for remote areas that have not been able to touched by PT. PLN.
THROUGH its social responsibility program Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty Ltd (EEES) has become the pioneer of the first biogas program in Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi.
This biogas is now one of the programs of the Wajo District Agriculture and Livestock Service in collaboration with the country of the rising sun, Japan.
Epic Sengkang Energy Equity Commitment Pty. Ltd (EEES) towards environmental sustainability is realized one of them through the Greening program. The reforestation program is carried out by providing assistance with plant seeds to residents to plant on residents’ lands that are not yet productive. Seeing the potential of the existing land, the seed assistance provided was in the form of wood plant seeds and productive plants such as mahogany wood seeds and mango plant seeds.
