Strengthening Oil Distribution Operations in Eastern Indonesia: KTI-20 KOPM Activities

*Bandung, March 19, 2024* – In an era where the dynamics of energy distribution continue to evolve, the Coordination of Oil Distribution Operations in the Eastern Indonesia Region (KTI-20 KOPM), conducted on March 6-7, 2024 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Bandung, has emerged as a significant event. Organized by MontD’Or Oil (Salawati) Limited and Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd., this conference brought together key stakeholders from the energy sector to discuss operational challenges and opportunities in the Eastern Indonesia region.

The event was attended by 34 participants who engaged in a series of presentations and discussions, highlighting operational activities in the oil and gas sector in Eastern Indonesia, programs to increase production, maintenance schedules, and drilling programs, all aimed at meeting the approved production lifting targets set in the 2024 Work Program & Budget (WP&B).

Opening remarks were delivered by Ridwan Jalal from Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd., Obigesto Ichwan from MontD’Or Salawati Ltd., and representatives from SKK Migas, setting a collaborative tone for the conference.

One of the main objectives of the KTI-20 KOPM event was to strengthen operational and informational relationships among contractors (KKKS), JOB KSI in the Eastern Indonesia region (KTI), SKK, and stakeholders such as PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional and PT Pertamina International Shipping. This initiative aimed to rapidly share and discuss issues related to oil and gas distribution operations in the Eastern Indonesia region, thus finding appropriate solutions to achieve the lifting targets set by the government.

Sharing was conducted by speaker Muhammad Nur Agus Cahyana, along with presentations on operational production from each participating KKKS, highlighting joint efforts and strategies to enhance the production capabilities of the region.

As the event concluded, a sense of unity and determination among participants was palpable. KTI-20 KOPM not only served as a platform for sharing valuable operational insights but also as a catalyst for strengthening the collaborative efforts needed to address the unique challenges faced by the oil and gas sector in Eastern Indonesia. This event marks a significant step towards ensuring that the energy sector in the region is well-equipped to meet future demands, contributing to Indonesia’s overall energy resilience and sustainability.
