Epic Sengkang Energy Equity Commitment Pty. Ltd (EEES) towards environmental sustainability is realized one of them through the Greening program. The reforestation program is carried out by providing assistance with plant seeds to residents to plant on residents’ lands that are not yet productive. Seeing the potential of the existing land, the seed assistance provided was in the form of wood plant seeds and productive plants such as mahogany wood seeds and mango plant seeds.
EEES is also actively carrying out greening along the pipeline from CPP Kampung Baru to PLTGU Patila which is about 28 kilometers long. Planting of around 10,000 trees was carried out in the ROW area in collaboration with the Wajo Regency environmental agency.
Reforestation activities are also carried out in coastal areas. This program was carried out in collaboration with a student organization by planting 2,500 mangrove seedlings on the coast of Sajoanging District. Apart from this, as an effort to improve the environment, this activity is also expected to help the local community in developing mangrove crab habitat.
To empower the yards of villagers around EEES, they have distributed 160 Crystal longan seeds to be planted in the yards of residents’ houses in Abbatireng Village. In addition to tree seedlings, to support the successful growth of trees, EEES also provides organic fertilizer assistance to residents and accompanying staff to provide technical instructions for cultivation and monitoring growth.
