Pemkab Wajo Appreciates CSR EEES

Gilireng , the government of Wajo Regency highly appreciates the Energy Equity Epic Sengkang Pty. corporate social responsibility (CSR) program. Ltd (EEES).
This was revealed by the Regent of Wajo DR.H. Amran Mahmud, S.Sos, M.Sc while reviewing the rolling cattle fattening program, in Arajang Village, Gilireng District, Wajo Regency, Tuesday (29/12/2020).
The Fattening Program, which is one of the flagship CSR programs for 2020, apart from being one of EEES’s CSR efforts in empowering the poor, this program is also expected to support the Household Biogas program and the use of organic fertilizer from dregs (biogas slurry).

This cattle fattening assistance is intended for three livestock groups, each consisting of 6 people, which are around the UPPO (Organic Fertilizer Processing Unit) area which was previously built by EEES in 2016.
Each group is given six bulls worth eight million rupiah, with a gumba height of 102cm and about two years old whose health has been checked by an appointed veterinarian.
The cattle are then intensively fattened according to the fattening instructions from the program assistant, so that they achieve a body weight gain of around 0.5 kilograms per day. As for the members of the livestock group, 50% are from underprivileged residents who are registered in the poverty data from the Wajo District Social Service.
The Regent of Wajo, who was accompanied by Deputy Regent of Wajo H. Amran, SE, said that the pattern of empowerment carried out by EEES should be followed by other business actors in Wajo Regency.
“We really appreciate a program like this. I hope that in the future other companies, including banks in Wajo Regency, can do the same thing to support one of the big dreams of the government, namely to make Wajo Regency not only a rice barn, but a rice barn. meat,” said the Regent of Wajo.

On that occasion, the Regent of Wajo asked the Department of Agriculture and Food Security to take part in guarding this program so that it could be duplicated by the village through village funds and other companies.
Meanwhile CSR / PR Supervisor EEES Andi Gustina who represented the leadership of EEES at the event said, what is interesting about this program is the sustainability aspect, namely after the cows are fattened for six months, sales will be made at the lowest estimated price of IDR 12 million, each time a sale is made. the group will set aside eight million from the sale, so that in 6 sales (3 years) 48 million will be collected.
These funds collected will be used to roll over to the next group. “With this pattern, there will be a continuity of programs that will empower the entire community,” said Andi Gustina.
In line with that, the CSR Officer of EEES, Baso Firman explained that apart from being an empowerment activity for the fattening program, it is also expected to have a very useful by-product, namely bioslurry organic fertilizer.
“The advantage of fattening cattle is that the cows are fattened in pens so that the manure is easily collected to be put in the biogas reactor, the waste from this biogas will later be collected and fermented at the UPPO that we have prepared, thus we hope that Arajang Village will soon be able to produce own organic fertilizer,” he concluded.
