Tax compliant, EEES Receives an Award from the Tax Office

Watampone, Energy Equity Epic Sengkang Pty. Ltd (EEES) commitment to supporting state revenues through the tax sector was appreciated by the KPP Pratama Watampone (KPP), a First Level Tax Service Office. This appreciation was given in the form of an award certificate at the “Taxpayer Appreciation Night” event held by the Directorate General of Taxes KPP Pratama Watampone at The Novena Hotel Watampone (02/03/23). The Charter was handed over directly by the Head of KPP Pratama Watampone Hadinengrat Nusantoro to the EEES Field Operations Manager, Herry Ridwan Jaya.

“Taxpayer Appreciation Night” was held by KPP Pratama Watampone as a tribute to taxpayers who have made a major contribution to state revenues in the tax sector.

In his remarks, the Head of KPP Pratama said that he had deliberately invited government officials and the largest taxpayers in his working area as an expression of gratitude for the Directorate General of Taxes KPP Pratama watampone for the participation of these stakeholders in state revenues in the tax sector. According to him, there are more than 290,000 taxpayers registered at KPP Watampone and in 2022 KPP Pratama Watampone will record state revenues of 444 billion rupiah. Of that amount, 15 percent or around 66.6 billion are contributions from the 50 biggest taxpayers who were invited to the event.

Meanwhile, EEES Field Operations Manager Herry Ridwan Jaya expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given to EEES by the Director General of Taxes KPP Pratama Watampone. According to him, this is proof that EEES is a tax-compliant company in accordance with the principles of accountability and financial transparency that have been adhered to by EEES management. Apart from being a taxpayer, EEES also has the status of a tax collection agency (WAPU) in its capacity as an upstream oil and gas Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS) as mandated by PMK No. 73 of 2010

Besides being attended by 50 taxpayers with the largest contribution, this event was also attended by several regional heads in the working area of KPP Pratama Watampone. In addition to giving awards to taxpayers, KPP pratama Watampone also gave awards to regional leaders who were received by the Deputy Regent of Wajo, Deputy Regent of Bone and Regional Secretary of Soppeng Regency as representatives of their respective regional governments.
